Landmark Consulting was hired in 2016 to serve as the Owner’s Representative, as the Hudson Opera House kicked off an $8.5 million restoration campaign with plans to restore its performance hall, add an elevator tower, and restore the masonry exterior and main entry.
Built in 1855 originally as the City Hall for Hudson, the Opera House contains the oldest surviving theater space. Fully restored, updated to meet modern life safety, egress, and energy codes and rehabbed to provide state of the art theatrical amenities, this anchor on Hudson’s prominent Warren Street promises to continue its historic legacy, in promoting arts and culture and serving as a community asset in the Hudson Valley region. This monumental project was a shining example of the economic impact that arts, historic preservation and community program can play on its surrounding environment.
Working as the Owner’s Representative, Landmark Consulting worked with the design team, general contractors, funders, and the staff of the Hudson Opera House, to efficiently manage a complicated project that was completed on schedule and on budget.
